Ross and Angie, both very dear friends of mine (and oh my, what a good lookin’ couple) I got to know from Korea asked me if I could design and illustrate for them their wedding invitations and I couldn’t say no. They wanted an illustration of themselves on the cover with the sunset in the backdrop. There’s something so traditional yet classic about Korean two fold invitations, the format I found rather intriguing.
Congratulations once again to the stunning couple and I’ll see you in London!

I always associated the colour red with traditional weddings but here’s one with a modern take. The theme was red and the wedding was done so elegantly. Botanical red roses and peonies were hand painted for the suite. Congratulations to the wonderful couple!

Finally found time to show this lovely Indian wedding.
Both Rajiv & Meera wanted to infuse their Indian heritage into their wedding invitations, Kerala, a state on India’s tropical Malabar Coast and their Indian temple was the inspiration to their invitations. Gold elements without a doubt was included as well. A decorated elephant used in Kerarla was unlike the usual colourfully painted elephants. The elephants are decked with gold armour, and this was the inspiration for the cover of the card together with gold foiled henna.
Every time I get a Indian wedding to do, it always make me feel like a girl who just got candy. I beam. For this elegant couple, we decided upon a 3 invitation suite because Indian weddings can go on for days.
A henna inspired gold foil for a traditional Indian wedding, a floral romantic one for solemnisation and a lace gold foil for a grand dinner at St. Regis. Love how beautifully planned this wedding is.
It’s a little late but congratulations on your beautiful wedding! May your marriage be filled with fun, love, joy and laughter!
When I first met Sue-ann, she was nothing short of enthusiastic. I felt like I was almost with her throughout her wedding planning. DIY-Ing your wedding is always a feat but nothing stops this bride with such crafty hands with an eye for detail. Always admire a DIY couple who can do it all. This ambitious bride definitely off all her hard work and it’s an honour to be part of #theleongchowway! Congratulations to the beautiful couple, may your new journey be just as exciting and loving!
what better way then to announce their wedding than to illustrate Caroline & Tobias’s love story and their milestones as their e-save-the-date? Love it each time when couples adding incorporate their love story in their wedding stationery.
Both my husband and I got to know this couple at a cafe near my home in Korea, only to realise that we were neighbours. This cafe, probably my most favourite cafe in the world, with the BEST coffee, no seriously and the kindest barrister and unnie we’ve met, set up with this couple. If you ever pop by Seoul, if you have to visit this cafe:
주소:서울특별시 동작구 사당2동, 전화번호:02-532-8872
이수역 10번 출구에서 직진 하다가 얼마 안가서 골목 기웃기웃 하면 바로 찾으실 수 있어요
With my best English translation:
The Little Things that Happen Everyday (Don’t you love this name?)
Address: Seoul Dongjak-gu, Sadang 2(i)-dong, Sadang-dong / South Korea
Telephone no: 02-532-8872
and if you do, you have to try their coffee, and their chocolate pudding (퐁당쇼콜라), made by unnie herself. And say hi for me!
Directions here! (A map, it’s in Korean though)
Back to Young Gun & Hye Yeon, one of the cutest and loveliest couples we’ve met, made up of a music producer and a hair stylist. Even with a language barrier, the couple was hilarious, can’t imagine what it would be like if we were completely fluent in Korean; so blessed to have met them and they helped as so much we couldn’t have asked for more. They wanted something quirky, fun but yet simple and traditional to their culture so what better than to have a portrait of them in a traditional bi-fold invitation. The groom specifically requested for a black poodle puppy to be included because he was planning on a surprise proposal with one, how romantic is that!
Very different styles for day and night for the lovely couple, Xuan & Ness. A soft peachy and flowery palette during the day and midnight blues and gold for the night. Day and night doesn’t always have to match, and this couple definitely wasn’t shy to do so! They really wanted their puppy, Bing (which they had to put him down last year because of kidney problems) to have him walk down the aisle with the bride in church, but because he’s no longer around, we decided to include him the invitations instead. One of the few darker invitations I’ve done and that midnight blue and gold definitely stands out from the rest, so dont be afraid to try dark colours I say!
Congratulations once again! May your marriage be as beautiful as your wedding!
